About VEDA |
The Virginia Economic Developers Association (VEDA) is a non-profit, non-partisan membership association for individuals with a professional interest in economic development across the Commonwealth of Virginia. VEDA serves as the voice of economic development in Virginia and was founded in 1982 to increase the effectiveness of individuals involved in the practice of economic development in Virginia by encouraging cooperation, exchange of information, and professional development activities. VEDA members include local, regional, and state economic professionals, utility and transportation executives with responsibilities for economic development, as well as elected officials and professionals in the fields of engineering, construction, development, higher education, real estate, consulting, finance and others who work to support the economic health of the Commonwealth. VEDA supports sound economic development policies, regional cooperation and the maintenance and expansion of efforts by state, regional, and local governments and other interested organizations to foster the growth of employment business sectors that will expand the job opportunities and improve quality of life for all Virginians. |
