The Carroll-Grayson-Galax Regional Industrials Facilities Authority ("RIFA") is seeking to employ a Regional Economic and Entrepreneurial Development Director for the Twin County/Blue Ridge Crossroads region that is comprised of Carroll and Grayson Counties and the City of Galax. Responsibilities include directing, coordinating and administering economic and entrepreneurial development activities and programs throughout the region in order to provide employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for citizens.
Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, Public Administration, Economics, Business Management or closely related field; supplemented by two (2) years previous experience and/or training involving economic development, marketing, public relations, advertising, business recruitment/retention, and general management; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. CED designation preferred. Salary is DEQ/DOE (+) benefits.
