The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, a public/private economic development organization representing the City of Alexandria (located near Washington, DC) is accepting applications for the Director of Business Development position.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the marketing outreach and prospect handling activities of the Partnership in order to attract corporate locations and jobs to the City.
Duties include the design and implementation of marketing strategies directed to the targeted business clusters utilizing marketing events, newsletters, emails and contact with the site selection community. This position also coordinates prospect visits and meetings with appropriate city officials and business leaders.
A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in the fields of economic development, real estate and/or marketing along with a minimum of five years experience in a related field is required. Certified Economic Community Developer status is a plus.
Salary is dependant upon qualifications. An excellent benefit package is included.
