James Madison University

Newport News Economic/Industrial Development Authority
The Newport News Economic/Industrial Development Authority (NNEDA) is the development arm for the City of Newport News, with powers granted by the Virginia General Assembly. The core mission of the NNEDA is to grow and diversify the tax and employment base of the City.
The Authority is a full-service agency which can act quickly and aggressively to attract new industry, and to allow a company to occupy its facility in the shortest time possible. It manages more than 2,100 acres in six industrial and business parks and more than 1.6 million square feet of office and industrial space, plus seven parking garages. It can issue tax-exempt and taxable Industrial Revenue bonds. Prince William County Department
of Economic Development
The mission of the Prince William County Department of Economic Development is to improve the County’s economic base by encouraging new businesses to locate in Prince William County, retaining existing businesses and facilitating the expansion of existing businesses. Shenandoah Valley Partnership
The Shenandoah Valley features many high profile companies, including MillerCoors, Merck, Hershey Foods and White Wave. All have had significant expansions in the region over the past few years, attributed primarily to the exceptional productivity level of Valley facilities.

The Shenandoah Valley Partnership is a public/private organization promoting economic development in the Central Shenandoah Valley.
