The challenges and opportunities facing America's urban areas have never been greater, and CDFA has teamed up with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and The Kresge Foundation to launch the CDFA Federal Urban Finance Forum.
Join CDFA in Washington, DC on June 15 for the CDFA Federal Urban Finance Forum, a new initiative set to become an annual DC staple. The Federal Urban Finance Forum is a unique, first of its kind event directed toward urban communities from around the country. This year's Forum will convene a panel of development finance experts from various federal agencies, as well as representatives from America's largest urban areas to discuss ways to improve the fiscal landscape and health of American cities. Invitations have been sent to senior administration officials at HUD, SBA, DOE, EPA, CDFI Fund, and The White House.
CDFA Federal Urban Finance Forum Agenda Announced!
The agenda for the CDFA Federal Urban Finance Forum is now online. Programming will begin on June 14 with a special evening reception and panel discussion focused on efforts to accelerate private investment in urban infrastructure.
June 15, the main day of programming, will feature panel discussions and workshops directed by members of key federal agencies and urban development policy leaders. Those panel discussions are:
- The Fiscal Landscape of American Cities
- Spurring Economic Development through Federal Programs
- Urban Revitalization & Impact Investing
- The Congressional Urban Agenda
Finally, on June 16, CDFA members and legislative partners will head to Capitol Hill to conduct legislative briefings and visit with Congressional leaders to reinforce the importance of federal urban development finance solutions and proactive approaches.
The June 14 Kickoff Reception will be held at Squire Patton Bogg's Washington, DC offices.
