Join us on the NAIOP Northern Virginia Bus Tour

The NAIOP Northern Virginia Bus Tour this year will start at National Landing and will highlight all that is to be known about this exciting new area. After the morning Trade Show the tour will feature properties "Inside and Around the Beltway" - Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax markets such as Tysons and Merrifield. If you are doing business in this area or any other part of Northern Virginia - you need to be on the bus tour.

The NAIOP Northern Virginia Bus Tour is not only the premier bus tour covering Northern Virginia, but it is also recognized as one of the most successful commercial real estate bus tours in the United States, thanks to the great work of our members.

This Week: Events & Activities

Craft cocktail lovers won't want to miss the first-ever Old Town Cocktail Week happening May 3 to 11, 2019, throughout Old Town Alexandria. Old Town Cocktail Week invites you to "Drink Up Old Town" and take part in Alexandria's growing craft scene as you enjoy specialty cocktails at restaurants and attend more than 20 events at boutiques, historic sites, restaurants and more. Old Town Cocktail Week is presented by Old Town Business with support from the King Street Corridor Initiative (Fri-Sat, 5/3-11, Various locations around Alexandria, Tickets required for some events).

The Planning Commission is holding their regularly scheduled meeting.Items of interest include Special Use Permits (SUPs) for Get Air Alexandria at 340 South Pickett Street and for Silver Diner at 4610 King Street, Unit A3, consideration of the FY 2020 Long Range Planning Interdepartmental Work Program and subdivision and rezoning for 5001 Eisenhower Avenue (Victory Center) to allow for residential development on the eastern portion of the property(Tues. 5/7 at 7:00 - 10:00 PM, Council Chambers, City Hall, 301 King St.).

The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce will hold their regularly scheduled board meeting(Weds. 5/8 at 8:00 - 10:00 AM).

The City of Alexandria will host the annual Arlandria Quality of Life Walk. Every year community members and City staff collectively survey the Arlandria neighborhood to determine any needed improvements to the streetscape, signage, open spaces, and matters related to public health, safety and welfare(Weds. 5/8 at 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Four Mile Run Park Plaza, 4124 Mt. Vernon Ave.).

This week is National Small Business Week. To celebrate, please join the Alexandria Small Business Development Center staff and supporters for coffee and lite morning fare at a small business celebration(Thurs. 5/9 at 8:00 - 9:00 AM, Society Fair, 277 S. Washington St.,Registration requested).

The Carlyle Vitality Initiative is hosting another session of their Fitness Series- join them for a Bootcamp class(Sat., 5/11 at 10:00 - 11:00 AM, John Carlyle Park, 300 John Carlyle St.).
