Featured Business:

Antiques & Collectibles

We are excited to welcome Antiques & Collectibles to Historic Downtown Manassas. The Galdino family's shop specializes in crystal, bone-china, fine furniture and more. After years of sharing space with other vendors at an antique mall in Fredericksburg, the Galdino's decided they wanted a place of their own in a location that not only has charm but good foot traffic, too.

Historic Manassas more than fits that bill with over 450,000 visitors coming each year to enjoy a meal, find the perfect gift or attend one of our popular festivals.

The new shop is next to the Harris Pillion at 9209 Center Street and is the perfect spot. Please join us for their ribbon cutting Friday November 15, 2019 and welcome them to Historic Downtown.

Hastings Marketplace

Come and be part of the City's newest mixed-use development project in the heart of the Liberia Commercial Corridor. The Golden Eagle Group has completed construction and begun leasing these very attractive and modern live/work spaces. The concept includes eight ground floor commercial spaces with residential units above and within walking distance to Harris Teeter, dining and more.

Each commercial unit consists of 600 square feet finished with a modern brick facade, large glass store front windows and exterior signage facing Market Street allowing you to effectively promote your business. Each unit can be used for office or retail, contains its own private bathroom and has premium finishes. These units are in a prime location and will not last long; two of the eight units have already been leased.

Business Behind the Bin

The next time you set out your recycling, consider the business behind the bin.Recycling is a commodity that is used in the production of a wide range of items including sunglasses, carpeting, air bags for cars and even designer shoes. It may surprise you, but the recycling industry contributes more than $55 million to the City of Manassas economy.

The City of Manassas is asking you to support the "businesses behind the bin" through understanding the value of recyclables as a commodity, actively reducing recycling contamination, and by following recycling guidelines to make sure that all materials are clean, empty, dry and loose before they go into your recycling container. All we need is: Cardboard, Paper, Metal, Plastics #1, #2 and #5.

If you want to know why commercial glass is not on our list ... and you are interested in learning more about the opportunities for economic development in recycling, please visit our blog.
