1. What is my username and password?
Don't see the question you need to ask? Email us and let us know what is puzzling you.
You create your username and password when you first join VEDA. VEDA is UNABLE to see any passwords (for security purposes); therefore, we cannot give it to you. You can retrieve your username by emailing email@example.com and requesting it. If you do not know your password you will need to click "Forgot Your Password?" on the Member Login page and follow the directions to reset your password. VEDA recommends keeping your password in a secure location so that you are able to find it when you need to log into the website. If you need assistance with this process please do not hesitate to reach out to Jeanne Ali at firstname.lastname@example.org.

All memberships are held by the individual. If you leave your company - the membership goes with you; it does not stay with the company. When the founding members of VEDA went about the business of setting up the organization in 1982, they were focused on professional development for economic development practitioners. To achieve this focus, they determined that membership should be by individual only. Over the years since that time, membership committees and boards of directors have discussed the issue and have always returned to the focus of the founding members. The VEDA bylaws state the following about membership:
Section 1 – Any reputable person engaged in activities directed toward economic and industrial development within the Commonwealth of Virginia shall be eligible for membership in the VEDA when approved in accordance with the provisions of these By-laws.
Section 2 – Membership shall be the privilege of the individual and shall be in the name of the individual and not in the name of the organization. Membership shall not be transferable.
